Crossing the Finish Line for Blogging from A to Z April Challenge

This was the first time I participated in such a blogging challenge. Being the planner that I am, I took a piece of very good advice from previous participants – plan and write your blogs ahead. By starting to write my blogs a week before April 1, I had about 10 blogs done before posting my first entry and this gave me a good head start. Despite that, it still came down to the wire at the last post for Z but I’m glad I made it.

I dived into the challenge with the aim of inculcating the habit to write every day and this definitely helped me to get going. Having a structured format and goal to post every day drove me to think and write on a topic daily. There were times when the topics came easily while there were others when I had to dig deeper to produce something decent but overall it was a good exercise to get my lazy ass to write, write and write every day.

Being a writer and author in the making, it was great to visit like-minded bloggers who share a passion for writing. I see that I am not alone but I also feel small reading all these wonderful bloggers with their plethora of work. Nonetheless, it makes me want to write more because I see so many people enjoy doing it.

Moving forward, I will continue to blog but not with such ferocious intensity. Incidentally, I caught a pretty bad flu bug one day after the last blog was posted. The timing couldn’t be more perfect because if I had to blog when heavily medicated, I wouldn’t be very coherent. :)

So, I am proud to be a survivor of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. Would I go for it again next year? Well, I prefer to just enjoy the glory for now and not think of it just yet, but maybe, just maybe, you might see me again!
